:)SMILIE ADVANCES INTO DOWNLOAD GAMES WITH YORKSHIRE FORWARD

After more than 3 months of negotiations, :)Smilie have secured Yorkshire Forward funding to enable a tie-up with a Doncaster-based publisher and digital rights management company.

The initial funding, secured from Yorkshire Forward with the assistance of the Game Republic games industry organisation, will help smooth the transition of management systems and various websites, as well as providing invaluable support with the adaption of existing intellectual properties and tailoring new games specifically for the online download market.

It is still early days but we are certainly very excited at :)Smilie. We have created a superb opportunity to go head-to-head with the established US and International publishers in the vibrant, rapid growth arena of download games. :)Smilie's experience in the market, gained in developing download games such as the #1 hits Cubis and Word Mojo, combined with the publisher's huge catalogue of PC games, ensures that all parties are confident of a fruitful, long-term partnership.
